First Emperor's Mausoleum

This is a puzzle VR tomb adventure game. The protagonist is an archaeology student who enters Qin Shi Huang (the first emperor of Qin dynasty)'s tomb by mistake and encounters many dangerous traps. He eventually escapes with the help of  of a pottery figurine possessed by the spirit of an ancient girl. The game is still in development.

Personal Contribution: A wide range of art-related content, includes 2D art, 3D models, animations, and shaders.

The game has five levels: gold, wood, water, fire, and earth, which are the basic five elements in Chinese philosophy. Depending on the elemental theme, each level has different puzzles to solve.

My Work

I am responsible for the entire production of the pottery figure, the game's most important supporting character. It includes modelling, texturing, rigging and animation.

I write custom shaders for special materials in the game, such as the toxic water that can kill the player in the video below.

I also designed large frescoes on the tomb's walls based on historical materials. For efficiency, I used the AI image generation tool to create complex patterns around the image's edges.
